Dear Friend of World Vasectomy Day,
In the years before we settling on our family size, many men rely on condoms for
contraception. However, given that 1 in 18 men who use them as their primary form of birth control get a woman pregnant within a year, this method comes with substantial risk. Needless to say, those who depend on withdrawal, run the risk of being called…“Daddy!”’
Are the children born from unintended pregnancies equally worthy of all of life’s blessings? Of course, but sadly, in some cases, it doesn’t always work that way, and they are not always afforded them.
It took a long time to choose to have my vasectomy. My procrastination, mostly based in selfishness and fear, caused a lot of pain to myself and my partner. I have not had a single regret since making the choice to have a vasectomy.
